Great testimony and a worthy one to listen to. Jesus Christ reveals himself to people around the globe. He desires that all humans would know him.
Bible – Acts 17:24 “The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; 26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being,
God’s designation and will for all people across all cultures, from all nations and tribes, in all the corners of the earth, whether rich or poor, great or small is
“to grope for God that they may find Him, though he is near to all of us”.
As Paul clearly states in Acts 17….
22So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects.
23″For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.
24″The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;
25nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all [people] life and breath and all things;
26and He made from one [man] every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined [their] appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
27that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
28for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’
29″Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man.
30″Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all [people] everywhere should repent,
31because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
Tonight I had opportunity to make campaign phone calls for my sons 22yr old friend. During the calls I noticed some of the stats on the people I had on my database. Male 84yrs, no other registered voter lives at the same addresss. Male 92yrs, no other registered voter lives at the same addresss. Female 70yrs, no other registered voter lives at the same addresss. Femaile 68yrs, no other registered voter lives at the same addresss. I began to wonder about the situation in everyone of these homes and was filled with a love for those people, a concerned compassion for these people. Were they alone? Were they afraid? Were they incapacitated? Did they have at least one person that loved them and cared about their daily needs, emotionally, physically and spiritually?
A little later tonight it dawned on me… imagine that God can see in all these houses. He sees the suffering, the loneliness, the pain, the hurt, the longings, the betrayal, the grief, the anguish, in every home across the earth. Even more I got to realizing that God he is holy and imagine if I a mere human sensed that love and compassion for these strangers, that imagine God in his perfect holiness loving these people, and how much more so because He is perfect. And because He is perfect he is also all loving, all just, all kind, all gracious, all merciful, all compassionate!
And at the end of it all, though these people are unreachable for myself they are totally reachable by a loving, just, perfect and holy God who hears when we humble ourselves and pray and turn from any wicked way. Then Jesus will answer. I can pray from afar for these precious, precious souls that Jesus has died and shed His blood for, and so can you. Jesus, ascended three days later from the grave, now the ONLY Mediator between man and God. My High Priest who sympathizes with mans weaknesses. I pray the love of Jesus is spread abroad in our land and our hearts. 🙂
We know from scripture that God has our best interest at heart and our lives submitted to Him yield his greater purposes. We people just see the earthly events play out but God always has the higher purpose at play. Remembering that this earth is only for a moment in time, but eternity is forever and ever and forever! God’s glory is manifested in those that have known suffering. For whoever has received grace from the hand of Christ also extends grace, whoever has known His mercy also extends His mercies. Through trials and tribulations God shapes and moulds the human heart so more and more of Him is know in us. And we know that Jesus our High Priest is merciful for he too suffered and is well acquainted with the suffering.
For those that draw close to Him they will know hardships and suffering and joy at once. How blessed it is to suffer for His name. Better than suffering from a life of sin ay! For the way of a transgressor is hard says the Lord.
But God has shaken up the body of Christ in North America. He told me he would actually about 11yrs ago. A lady in our town I told her this in peaceful times she told me 4 months later that as soon as she heard me tell her she saw upheaval begin in their church and it has never stopped since then. He said he was shaking up the churches, that those that stole should steal no more, that those that lied should lie no more. I saw the earth shake and all that was left was faith, for those that held on to faith. For the just shall live by faith says the Lord, and God has no pleasure in those that shrink back.
And all that is left is faith.
Now I will move over and let Jesus speak!
American Standard Version (ASV)
25 Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?
26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value then they?
27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?
28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Really excited. We picked up a hitchhiking woman off the highway and told her about Jesus. She was so thankful for being picked up by us I told her that it was a shame she was risking her life hitchhiking. Her sister in law was murdered by a 19yr old man by the name of Cody whose court case is on right now. I told her that I used to hitchhike and people told me about Jesus’ love for me and because of them I got to know Jesus and he revolutionized my life forever. So I told her that I would tell her too.
I told her that Jesus wanted to set her free from Satan’s grip and that she had to be born again and she needed to repent of her sins and Jesus would forgive her. She said she knows God and she knows of Jesus but she didn’t know Jesus the way I knew Him. She said she would want to know Jesus the way I knew Him. I told her that Oprah says there are many ways to heaven but she is wrong that the bible says there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. I prayed for her laying hands on her and the Lord moved on her visibly. Then she also prayed asked God to forgive her in Jesus name. She hungrily took my cell phone number from my husband who had written it on a scrap piece of paper and said she would call.
So she is on our prayer list now and I await a call from her. I would LOVE to do bible studies and prayer with these kinds of people. She had been drinking. Has been off drugs for 5 yrs tried to get free from cigs but still smokes and drinks. 🙂 These are the people that Jesus is drawing to himself. Go into the highways and the byways and invite them says Jesus.
When was the last time you shared your faith? When was the last time you laid hands on someone and prayed? When was the last time you had a deep love for the unsaved? Faith is dead without works. Put your faith to work. Bless Jesus friends.
An epitaph on a gravestone once read:
Remember friend as you pass by,
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, thus you must be,
So be prepared to follow me.
Found beneath these inscribed words on the grave-marker were the following two lines, apparently added by a concerned reader:
to follow you I’m not content,
until I know which way you went!
The greatest hindrance for us on the nature of God is man’s skewed perceptions. From what we were told about Him, from how He was depicted to us, onto how we were taught either from childhood or even adults.
That God is God and he can never be changed by man’s perceptions. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the unchangeable God, He is the eternal One. In him there is no shadow of turning. God is the creator of all things. A created being is unable to perceive all things pertaining to the creator. This from the fact that the Creator is obviously superior than the created being. Logic.
The greatest hindrance to man knowing God is his perceptions of who God truly is. God makes himself known to ALL that seek him with all their heart. That is His irreversible promise. Because God is perfect and can never lie.
God is the only rock upon which all of mankind can find assurance and be secure from the ravages and the consequences of sin. The bible says “the wages of sin” …… is death. But the gift of God is eternal life. Absolutely free gift of life is through Jesus Christ, and cannot be had anywhere else. Jesus Christ has power to set us all free. Free from whatever has bound our lives on this earth, and freedom from hell in eternity. But just a few statements from scripture on the true nature of who God really is…..
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died on the cross for us.
Come and let us reason says the Lord Almighty, though your sins are as scarlet I will make them white as snow.
6.“The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;
7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished………”
From just the above three statements we learn many things about His nature. That God….
1. Is Love, and His love never changes for us, that we may be the most wicked of sinners and yet His love never diminishes for us…..even to shedding His blood for us.
2. That God gives us an invitation to come to him, though we are guilty as guilty comes, and he offers us to blot out our transgression, or the record against us, and make us clean. All for free, and all for nothing in return.
3. That he is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger (patient with our infallibility).
4. He is abundant in lovingkindness.
5. He is abundant in truth.
6. He forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; YET….He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
If we were to come to God the Creator we have to come on his terms, we have to come to who He is and who he says He is. We have to come to Him as he is. We have to come to Him as he says he is or we have not come to Him at all. 🙂 We would just get some man’s religion and all such uselessness, a deception, and we would go into eternity without Christ Jesus. 🙂
Until later….be careful which way you go…. 🙂
Below are just a few scriptures on God’s commandment for marriage. Let us walk in the fear of God, and humbly in His sight. Let us not backtalk God. He says what he means and we are to simply obey by faith. The just shall live by faith, and God has no pleasure in those that shrink back. Honour God and be blessed!
People pray for revival. God wants revival to begin in our house, in our prayer closests and in the places of our hearts where we treat our spouse. God seeks for the hunble heart, for the obedient heart, for the heart that is full of faith and pays no mind to shrinking back. And He begins in our houses, watching if we shrink back from humbly loving our spouse.
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
1 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they see your respectful and pure conduct.
Ephesians 5:23,24,32 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
A Husband is to Cling to His Wife
“Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will cling to his wife: and they will be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
“And be kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
“Let the wife make her husband glad to come home and let him make her sorry to see him leave.”
― Martin Luther
It is very disturbing to see the grade of so called “christianity” from people who have positions in religious groups. I see people who are in leading positions hate their estranged daughter-in-laws, those refusing to forgive and restore relationships, those helping people to blatantly lie. Others hear one side of a story for their itching ears and hate and judge, yet never finding out the other side of the story. The bible calls that a wicked thing by the way. Others amazingly preach divorce over enduring love and in so doing go against God’s commands.
Amazingly enough, we think that the more people that agree with us the more leverage we will have in this life. Oh what deception! “That it is appointed for man once to die and then the judgement.” God will tell those workers of sin and iniquity to get away from Him for he never knew them.
It is better to obey the instruction of the Holy One and be hated and spat on, than to have a whole town stand by me while I lie, cheat, steal, slander and treat treacherously. 🙂 Oh wretched man that I am, who can deliver me from this body of death.
My heart is broken for them, that Satan has so deceived them in their hearts. Have they not heard that “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”? My heart breaks still further that the Holy One, his name is being marked as an unjust God. It will be a terrible thing to be in the hands of the Mighty One on the day of judgement. When great and small, rich and poor will all stand before Him and give an account of every thought, word and deed.
In the words of John the Baptist in John 3.
1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
