My Soul Thirsts For God!

Posted: November 8, 2011 in bible, Prophetic, Uncategorized
Our lips are parched Lord from this dry and thirsty land!  A spiritual wasteland where there is no need.  All have turned away and live in the land of plenty and think that we are rich.  But lo oh Lord how wretched we are,  and how poor we are,  and how naked we are. God we need you for the thirst,  God help us.  Amen.

“Hymnody is sweet with the longing after God, the God whom, while the singer seeks, he knows he has already found. `His track I see and I’ll pursue,’ sang our fathers only a short generation ago, but that song is heard no more in the great congregation. How tragic that we in this dark day have had our seeking done for us by our teachers. Everything is made to center upon the initial act of `accepting’ Christ (a term, incidentally, which is not found in the Bible) and we are not expected thereafter to crave any further revelation of God to our souls. We have been snared in the coils of a spurious logic which insists that if we have found Him we need no more seek Him. This is set before us as the last word in orthodoxy, and it is taken for granted that no Bible-taught Christian ever believed otherwise. Thus the whole testimony of the worshipping, seeking, singing Church on that subject is crisply set aside. The experiential heart-theology of a grand army of fragrant saints is rejected in favor of a smug interpretation of Scripture which would certainly have sounded strange to an Augustine, a Rutherford or a Branierd.

“In the midst of this great chill there are some, I rejoice to acknowledge, who will not be content with shallow logic. They will admit the force of the argument, and then turn away with tears to hunt some lonely place and pray, `O God, show me thy glory.’ They want to taste, to touch with their hearts, to see with their inner eyes the wonder that is God.

“I want deliberately to encourage this mighty longing after God. The lack of it has brought us to our present low estate. The stiff and wooden quality about our religious lives is a result of our lack of holy desire. Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth. Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation of Christ to His people. He waits to be wanted. Too bad that with many of us He waits so long, so very long, in vain.”

–A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God

…………should we be surprised????  Of course not. :)   I love these amazing testimony’s about God’s goodness, love and compassion for humanity.

Let’s enjoy life to the fullest,  loving and being loved.

A shocking,  award winning documentary.  Done just like Ray Comfort would do. :)   Originally this video was made to go with Ray Comfort’s book “Hitler, God and the Bible”……..but the video went beyond a history supposedly left behind,  to a present one just as sinister.  There are scenes that are not suitable for young children please use discretion.  God bless.

The Great and Mighty Fall.

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, and all that read this. I have really been trying not to share what I have shared below. I had shared it with my husband, children and a few other people in 2008 and had it documented.

My husband was incredulous at the time and shook his head. But I see and hear that there is a stirring in God’s people that something is up.

Over the last week or so I have been sensing an urgency to now share. I now release this information, I tell it as I knew it, and heard it and saw it. God speed. love Sarah

It was just before Obama was elected as president November 2008. I looked up and saw the great and mighty “Empire of the United States of America”.   As I watched I suddenly saw the empire fall with such a thunderous and resounding mighty crash,  a thunderous deafening crash,  to billows of dust!

The whole earth shook as the empire fell and the shaking reverberated throughout the whole earth and shook every nation on the earth.    The empire fell with such a powerful force,  a falling that man has never seen such as this,  not since the beginning of time.

This,  I saw in my spirit,  would bring the whole
world into a ” type”  of   “dark ages”.

On Wed Dec 19, 2007 9:18 pm
The Lord gave me a word for a homeschooling community. During the word I had a distinct sense that the American Empire was going to come to an end. Though I dared not speak those words out loud my heart was broken and heavy for those I knew and loved much. I have posted the word below., and following it the article that I referred to called “The Death of a Preacher”

“Hi ladies, I have sensed for quite some time that an era is about to pass for America, that a time is being snuffed out. I have posted an article below as it says well what I have felt in my heart. Also, I wanted to encourage you all that you ladies are not just homeschooling, you are allowing God to raise up your children for Him. I know that the homeschool movement is the place where God can raise up great leaders and men and women of great faith. God wants us to allow Him to make our children different, a peculiar people, different and not like the rest. Pray ladies, pray fervently and earnestly for your nation, pray for holiness……..without which no one will see God, says the Lord.

The DEATH of the PREACHER

-by James Smith.

I am sorry to be the one to have to report that preparations are underway for the funeral of an American mainstay: the Preacher.

In the event of his death, there will be no open casket or time of visitation, for most of his friends would not want to be seen as such in a spirtitual climate such as we have today in America.

For those who are unfamiliar with the preacher, his story can be found in virtually every chapter of American history. You could find him in the first colony that landed on Plymouth Rock and you could find him shaking the windows of Philadelphia before, during and after the American Revolution.

The preacher was active on both sides of the War Between the States. D.L Moody served as a missionary on the front, finding out if dying men were saved before they perished. And in the South, the preachers would hold impromptu baptism services whenever they could, sometimes even in the midst of battle and in full view of the enemy.

At the turn of the century we had the Pentecostals preaching harder than just about any group who had come before them and Billy Sunday thundered for prohibition and the dangers of alcohol to a nation that was drunken with its own excess.

America heard the voices of A.W. Tozer and Paris Reidhead preach a true Prophetic call. We heard the voice of Allen, Branham and Coe, Roberts and W.V. Grant Sr. tell us that God was still a healer, still a deliverer and still a savior.

America heard Davy Wilkerson tell of the trauma in our inner cities and of the dangers coming if we could not repent. We heard Shambach take up the torch of faith when all of the old voices had fallen silent.

We heard Lester Sumrall and we were awed at the reality of the power of God if we could just believe. We heard Jimmy Swaggart and in his voice we heard the end of an era, though we did not know it at the time.

Today in America the voice of the preacher has fallen silent. And I am grieved to carry to your itching ears the somber news that the voice that we need to hear now more than ever, may never be heard from again.

The preacher, that icon of American religion, the last of a species from a long and noble line, has been on an unpublished endangered species for decades. And here at the turning of the tide, at that moment when it would seem that we need him the most, his absence leaves a hole that can be felt only by the discerning heart that longs after God.

For in these days of the soft Prophet, the teacher, the encourager and the snake-oil salesman, the voice that calls you to awaken from your positivity-induced slumber is not welcome. Who wants to hear someone yell for an hour, they say. Who in their right mind wants a return to the days of fire and brimstone when men spoke for God and called the comfortable to repentance and the lukewarm to task?

Who would want a return to those days when the church sought those who were lost, called the prodigal home and searched the hearts of the un-consecrated in the sheepfold?

We eagerly await the news, it seems, that the voice of the preacher has fallen silent for good. That the one who troubled us is gone and his like shall not be seen again anymore.

But the annals of history shall reveal I fear, the terrible truth: that should we chose to let the preacher die – we choose to let the hopes of revival and indeed, the salvation of our nation die as well.

And choose it is, have no doubt about that. We choose when we do not pray for those standing between the living and the dead, calling for reinforcements in the battle of the ages. We choose when we withhold support, we choose when we do not attend meetings, we choose when we do not invite them to our churches and communities.

We choose, all of us. And that choice is to leave this nation in the spiritual hands of the mealy-mouthed purveyors of the humanistic Gospel. It is to abandon the morals of our nation to the oversight of those who will not offend the masses – so long as they continue to give.

To choose wrong now will set the course of this nation in the future towards a port we do not wish to disembark at.

And the choice is yours, now.

Choose well, church, choose well.

Isaiah 31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the LORD!

The Lord has been bringing the following thought to me for quite some time and I will quickly share it.

I see that there is a doctrine that has seeped into the churches, one that worships food and the diet and health industry. This subtle message is from the new age movement. The cleansing of the flesh through purification methods. The obtaining what the new age calls “purity” by ridding the earth and the body of defilement from what we put into it.

Why do we consume our time with eating and drinking? the bible says that the kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, but joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. Do we truly believe that all of this fussing with the containers, the methods, cleansing’s, and supposed pure untainted, top of the notch ingredients is something that the Lord wants us consuming all our energies on?  What message are our children going to be getting from all of this?

Matthew 6. 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Have we taken our eyes off God and now have it on the vegetables? Or the earthenware? Or the gut cleansings? Or the…..?

All these are of this world. All are temporary, and all will pass. But the Lord’s word endures forever.

Of course exercise for the body is profitable, but is it something that has now consumed us? Is it something that our children can see is elevated high in our lives? Sure we can throw the bible in the mix, but the children see which is elevated the highest. :)

Jesus says 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me  has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

Jesus says that He alone brings life. Our fathers, says Jesus, ate the manna in the wilderness (the vegetables, the ceramic jars and the things of this world) and they are dead. BUT… Jesus says,  He is our manna, the bread that comes down from heaven and breathes life into us, mind, body and spirit. He makes us tender leafed into our old age. He heals and sustains us, He provides for us. He is everything that we can ever want or need. He is our Manna, our Bread, our Life.

The world has laughter clubs, where they laugh for health. Jesus, our bread of life, gives us His glorious joy, that words cannot describe…… if we are consumed with Him.

Let’s lay aside the world with it’s doctrines of the new age, and lets fill ourselves with Jesus the bread of Life from heaven, come down from the Father.

Where will we put our trust then? Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

JESUS. No Jesus, no HOPE.

My 16yr old son shared this epitaph with me recently.

An epitaph on a gravestone once read:

Remember friend as you pass by,

As you are now, so once was I.

As I am now thus you must be,

So be prepared to follow me.

Found beneath these inscribed words on the grave-marker were the following two lines,  apparently added by a concerned reader:

to follow you I’m not content,

until I know which way you went!

VERY interesting video interview by Dr James Dobson with Ted Bundy, Ted Bundy, a serial killer,  was on death row at the time of this interview.  Ted Bundy came from a well adjusted family and  tells about the ravages of porn on his life.  Today the availability of porn in all corners of our tech world is frightening. Please sit back with a coffee and tea and make time to watch it all.  And prayerfully consider sharing it with others.
